Zagreb, July 4, 2009 – In cooperation with the Volunteers’ Center in Zagreb, approximately twenty Coca-Cola volunteers partook in the renovation of parts of the exterior façade of the Maksimir Home for the Elderly and Feeble in Zagreb’s Maksimir neighborhood.

“We fixed and painted walls and balconies as well as part of the façade around the balconies and we wanted to make the living space of the inhabitants nicer through this. The building is 32 years old and in a good condition, but no significant repairs have been done on the façade so far, that’s why we decided to help”, said the head of the Coca-Cola volunteers, Maja Frković.

The inhabitants of the Maksimir Home for the Elderly and Feeble rewarded the efforts of the volunteers with a welcome coffee as well as lunch, socializing and songs, and they pointed out that, apart from the balconies and façade which shone in new splendor, the socializing and conversations with the volunteers meant a lot to them as well.
